DEEMA CARS AGREEMENT TERMS & CONDITIONS By signing this rental agreement, the renter acknowledges and agrees that he/she has this contract and therefore is aware of the terms and conditions described overleaf and that he/she accepts fully the responsibilities as set out in this agreement. This rental agreement is the only valid contract between the renter and the party herein described as the owner. Any additions or alterations to the contract are to be considered null and void unless they have been agreed upon in writing in this agreement.

DEEMA CARS cannot guarantee any specific car model or colour of vehicle reserved online. We will try our best to give you the same car that you booked but if it is not available at the time of delivery for any reason, we will provide you with a similar car or an alternative model. The luggage compartment hold is for guidance only as this depends on the size of the luggage and the number of persons occupying the vehicle.

THE RENTER/DRIVER AGREES:

The renter acknowledges that the vehicle in question belongs to the owner even if the registration of the vehicle may be in the name of a third party. The renter acknowledges that he/she received the vehicle in good working order and condition.

The renter agrees that he/she will return the vehicle with all tyres, tools, radio, accessories, and equipment in the same condition as when received to the place of rental or any other place mentioned overleaf.

The Rented vehicle may not be used for the following:

to transport people for hire, regardless of direct or indirect reward.
for racing, speed testing or driving instruction.
to transport any illegal goods or passengers in violation of the provision of any act, order, or any other illegal purpose.
being used outside Cyprus or in the Turkish occupied area of Cyprus.
by any person under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or hallucinatory drugs.
by a driver who is under the age of 25 or without a valid driving licence.
by anyone that his name is not on the rental agreement.
The renter is not allowed to do any repairs to the vehicle without the knowledge of the owner.
The renter is not allowed to abandon the vehicle under any circumstances.

The renter expressly acknowledges personal liability and pays to the owner on demand:

The charges for the period of rental, service, and time charges plus VAT /other taxes payables (according to government order)
The replacement costs for any tools, tyres, and accessories etc, in case these get lost or stolen from the rented vehicle
All fines and court costs for any road offences before he leaves the island as this is not covered by any insurance.
The renter will pay for any damage listed below which is not covered by insurance: Oil sump, clutch, gearbox, damage to underneath the vehicle, lost keys, windscreen wipers, upholstery of the vehicle, saltwater stains, fuel error, damage to child / baby seat, door handle and lock and antenna.

The Renter will be liable fully for the following damages if:

The vehicle is damaged intentionally.
The vehicle has been driven by any person other than the driver indicated overleaf.
The vehicle has been driven by any person outside Cyprus or in the Turkish occupied area of Cyprus.
Any of the terms and conditions of the rental agreement has been breached. The renter will be bound to pay to the owner the rental cost per day so up to twenty days while the vehicle is under repair or is off the road.

The Owner has the right to terminate this contract and take possession of the vehicle if the renter has been involved:

In violation of the terms and conditions of this rental agreement.
In violation of any law regulation.
In transporting illegal purposes.
For racing, pace making, reliability, trials, speed testing or driving instruction.
To propel or tow any other vehicle or trailer.
Outside Cyprus or in the Turkish occupied area of Cyprus.
Whilst being under the influence of alcohol, hallucinatory drugs, narcotics on barbiturates.

In case the renter loses the right of operating the vehicle of any violation of the terms and conditions of this rental agreement then he/she must stop driving the vehicle and must inform the owner immediately of this. Furthermore he/she is liable for all the money due to damage caused thereto and for the expenses that are incurred by the owner for returning of the vehicle to the place of rental mentioned overleaf.

DRIVER REQUIREMENTS:

Drivers must be between 25 – 70 years of age.
All drivers must have a full valid driving licence and must have held a driving licence for at least 5 years backed up with an ID card or Passport during pick up

All driving licences must be in English or Latin.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Deema cars offers a free cancellation up to 24 hours prior to your rental start date.
Please email us at enquiries@deemacars.com no less than 24 hours to qualify for the cancellation and a member Trusted rent a car will contact you to arrange for a refund.
Please be aware that no refund will be given for any cancellation less than 24 hours.
If the renter fails to pick up the vehicle within 1 hour of the agreed date and time without notifying us in advance, the reservation will be considered as a no show and no refund will be given.

EARLY TERMINATION:

In case the renter returns the vehicle earlier than agreed upon time in this contract the owner is entitled to keep 50% of the money paid by the renter for the remaining rental period.

INSURANCES:

Insurances included in the rates:

The renter purchases Comprehensive Insurance and Third-Party Insurance (indicated in this rental agreement) and is liable for the indicated excess.

ALL cars come with comprehensive insurance with excess and Third Party Insurance.
The excess depends on the car type. You can reduce the excess By purchasing PREMIUM PROTECTION PLAN for €7 per day.(See below the tables where it explains the Group of Cars/Excess/Reduced Excess).

TYRES AND WINDSCREEN INSURANCE T.W.I:

The insurance doesn’t cover Tyres and Wind Screen.
Tyres and Windscreen Insurance can be waived by €5.00 per day

REDUCED EXCESS TABLE:

The renter can reduce the excess if a PREMIUM PROTECTION PLAN is bought for €7 per day.

IN CASE OF ACCIDENT:

The Renter must call both insurances on the number below:

In case of injury call the Police/Ambulance on Tel: 112/199 and the rental company.

Do not remove the vehicle without the instructions of the Police or insurance representative.
Give a detailed report of the accident details to the rental company (names & address of witness, diagrams etc)

EXTRA CHARGES:

Additional charge applies for additional driver, baby seat, and lost keys and Fuel.
